Have a bike but don't know where to ride? Or hate tackling the mean streets of Connecticut solo? Ride with us! Our weekly group rides are a great opportunity to enjoy the safety and camaraderie of a group.
In 2017 we will continue our Saturday morning group road rides. The rides will begin at 8:00am from the front of the shop and we will supply ride leaders for various speed groups.
Rides on Saturday mornings will vary from 20 - 40 miles and are designed for all level road riders. Helmets are required for all riders. Additionally flashing rear lights are recommended. LEARN MORE.

Our Monday Night Road Ride will leave from the shop at 6:00pm and go approxiamately 20-30 miles. We will have two different speed groups "B Group" averaging approx 16 - 18 mph and a shop led "C Group" averaging approx 14 - 16 mph. The "C Group" will be no drop. Please pick up cue sheets or download the routes to your cyclecomputer! Helmets are required for all riders. Additionally we recommend rear flashing lights for all riders as well. LEARN MORE.
The Wednesday Recreational Ride is a casual, fun 1-hour long ride that goes approximately 10 to 15 miles around Newington. All types of bikes welcome. This is a no-drop ride and no one gets left behind. Ride leaves from the shop at 6:00pm. Newington Bicycle will provide ride leaders for this ride. Our group cycling classes are designed to be cycling specific - where you can train on your own bike, with quality stationary trainers that give you a real road feel. Classes are generally 60 -75 minutes long and are led by a live instructor who will take you through a complete workout. LEARN MORE.
Our group mtb rides are designed as informal group rides and we encourage all level riders including beginner - intermediate level mountain bikers to join. Advanced riders are welcome to ride ahead. These rides require a mountain bike, helmet & all the flat fixing essentials (if you don't have the know-how, no worries, our ride leaders are there to help but please provide a tube that will fit your wheel!). Rides will re-group along the trail and generally are a 5 - 10 miles in distance. Pace & trail determined by group ability level. 2017 Rides will take place the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month. These rides are a great place to start for women who may be newer to the sport, want to get used to riding on the road/in a group or who simply want an awesome social ride.
